Welcome to the website of the Queanbeyan City Brigade of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service.  Queanbeyan City is one of 22 brigades that make up the Lake George Zone, providing fire protection to the Local Government Areas of Palerang & Queanbeyan.  The Queanbeyan Brigade consists of approximately 45 members and 5 vehicles (3 fire fighting appliances and two support vehicles).  The Brigade responds to a range of call outs annually, from Bushfires to Motor Vehicle Accidents.

Being diverted from another job, Queanbeyan 1 responded to assist NSWFB, Police and Ambulance with a MVA this afternoon. (full story)

 

Wet weather provokes joint operation - 14 February 2010
A large tree collapsed on Bungendore Rd, Queanbeyan this afternoon (Sunday), closing the road in both directions. Traffic in Queanbeyan was brought to a standstill. (full story)
